Yarn Painting, the most contemporary Native American art, is a religious practice.  The Huichol Indians use it to record peyote visions, personal encounters with the Great Mystery.  Cuchama retains the sacred aspects of this media creating shimmering tablas de luz to express Catholic Imagery.  Her models - - Mabel Dodge, Frida Kaholo, and Georgia O'Keeffe - gather here in celebration of feminine energy.
